Medical equipment maintenance
Medical equipment maintenance organises each device’s technical inventory, checks, interventions and documents for technical staff and clinical teams. Jovimed makes responsibilities and missing information visible; authorised professionals retain decisions about equipment use.
Configuration, integrations and availability are discussed in your demonstration.

CAPABILITIES
What the team can follow.
A device needs stable identification and an understandable history. Teams can see available documents, upcoming checks and information requiring clarification. The calendar follows applicable evidence rather than a universal rule applied to every medical device.
Technical record
Connect the serial number, model, manufacturer, location and responsible person. Manuals and commissioning documents can be associated with the record so a move to another ward does not lose the device’s history.
Check calendar
Organise deadlines from applicable documents and the people following renewal. A periodic check, service visit and calibration remain separate activities; the responsible professional determines what the specific device requires.
Reports and interventions
Associate an operating observation with its technical request, intervention documents and the owner’s conclusion. Staff can follow missing information before closing the request without inferring safe use automatically from an on-screen status.
Documents and validity
Keep certificates, reports and versions next to the correct equipment. Validity dates are reviewed against the original document; observations show when clarification or a new document is needed.
Status and availability
Display the recorded status and relevant observations to authorised people. Clinical teams can consult information needed for planning while technical staff document the decision and conditions for returning the device to use.
Documented DDD activities
Disinfection, insect-control and rodent-control records can retain the area, product, documents and acceptance. These records have their own workflow and remain distinct from technical examination of a medical device.
IN PRACTICE
A certificate needs clarification.
A ward requests a device for planned activity. Its record shows a recent intervention, but the attached document does not allow the relevant validity to be confirmed. Technical staff follow clarification, keeping the performed intervention distinct from the decision about use.
The owner checks device identification and the document associated with the request.
Technical services request supporting evidence and record the observation and person following it.
An authorised professional examines the completed information and records the decision and equipment status.
The ward sees a documented status, while technical staff can explain what was examined and who made the decision.
RECORDS & TRACEABILITY
Records for review.
The technical record retains context over time: locations, requests, reports and owners. Access and required documents are defined for each equipment category.
- Identification, location and technical owner
- Intervention reports and operating observations
- Checks, certificates and documented deadlines
- Use decisions and separate DDD records
BEFORE YOUR DEMONSTRATION
Useful questions.
Does the platform certify equipment safety?
No. Technical assessment and the relevant documents belong to competent professionals and bodies. Jovimed organises the record, reports and deadlines so staff can examine the information and document a decision. Displayed status reflects the recorded evidence; it is not a certificate and does not replace physical examination of a device.
Does every device follow the same calendar?
No. Deadlines depend on device category, applicable documents, manufacturer instructions and hospital procedures. Staff distinguish service visits from periodic checks and other technical activities. Configuration addresses the source of each deadline, its owner and the documents used to verify that the required activity has been performed.
How are intervention documents retained?
Documents can be associated with the device and the request initiating the intervention. The owner checks identification, date and conclusion before closing the record. A new version retains the review context; staff determine access and which documents are needed for the decision to return equipment to use.
